Celebrating class as well as the most refined and proper of manners, the ‘Bow’ (and ‘Curtsy’) poster(s) were created in conjunction with the release of Mammal’s absurdist take on the nuances of the macho, masculine identity explored in their second book. Only 100 were made, so be certain to act whenever you damn well please. Mr. Matt Dorfman was responsible for the design and the fine fellows at Kayrock Screenprinting in Williamsburg graciously handled the printing.

Looking at this poster, one observation that you may take note of is that we put Grace Jones’ head on a squid. From where we’re standing, a woman as multifaceted as Ms. Jones deserves as many appendages as she’s due. Honoring the mighty patron saint of Mammal #2, the fine print at the bottom of the poster says it all:

If we did not already love Grace Jones for her defiant ferocity, her butch ferocity and the ferocity with which she employs to consistently disregard the popular conventions of what it means to be truly macho, we would cower before her and fear her. A lot. As such, like the neolithic early man who seeks to build a wheel, we turn to Grace for guidance and wisdom as we explore the deeper trenches of the masculine soul. As our patron saint, we are humbled before her and we relish her tutelage and her savagery.
